Sis's Graduation Day (6th Dec 2008)

Yesterday , it was my sis's graduation day. We went with my family to the convocation day. Each of us had previously paid RM90 per person for the commemorated event (for each guest). We went around 2.30pm and waited till 3.30pm before we were seated in the graduation hall. To date, there were about 300-400 of graduands who graduated from different faculties, Faculty of Accounting and Finance, Faculty of Marketing and Faculty of Business Administration. There was one moment when 10-2os of students were deported out of the hall because there were insufficient and limited of seats for the parents and guardians guests. At least, the organisers should have a better organisation of the event and not allowing so many of the priviliged guests to wait outside the hall nonchalantly. Well, it came to a moment where we were all finally seated and we were all satisfied. The complaints came to a halt later on. Another special event was the buffet dinner. Honestly, I felt that the buffet was not bad after all. We even had satay, ketupat, cucumber, rojak and all to satisfy our hungry-selves; orange juice as an appetizer.

Retro-themed X'mas Event

Hi there,

I've been quite lazy in updating my blog for months now and I thought it might have been full of spider webbies now.

Anyway, it's a public hol on next Mon (Hari Raya Qurban) and X'mas Day is approaching. I have a Retro party occasion to attend this coming Sat. In a flash highlight, it is a day where every attendee will bring a gift of less that RM10.00 and bring themselves along in retro-themed costumes. " We shall wear anything from the 70s", said my sister. She asks me to buy complementary accessories eg: big, round shaped earrings; hair bands; necklaces; bangles and etc... to the event. Up to this moment, I have bought a pretty, brown colour hair band for myself and I hope to wear it together with a suitable retro-themed costume to the grand-event later. Yea.....

Apart from that, my mother's birthday is approaching this coming Sun, 7th Dec. Arrghh..! I haven't thought of how to celebrate with her as yet. I wonder far east and west...what she wants for her present on her birthday. Nevertheless, I might buy her a beautiful blueberry cake if she agrees. (*nodding head).

That's all for now. If there's anything yet I wish to update in this column, I will later and pls kindly visit my blog for more updates.

Till then, do have a nice day!

Olympic Games

Hey there,

Apparently, I have been watching lots of Olympic game highlights at home recently. I think I can become an Olympian already as dictated by my dad whereby Olympians are home viewers that have been following the game since from day 1 from the comfort of their homes. "The best seat is in your house" - as mentioned by the TV Astro ads again and again. Anyway, I have been watching lots of artistic gymnastics (men and women singles and groups) as well as aquatic swimming competition for the past 2 weeks. Just a while ago, I have been watching the badminton men single (semi-final), men doubles, mixed doubles and not long a while ago, I was viewing the men single (FINAL) match. This match seems to be very important as it will later reveal if our Malaysian team will deliver either a gold or single medal. It will be the first medal for us Malaysians if Lee Chong Wei wins this exciting game. However, when I began to watch the game just now, Lin Dai from China seems to be controlling the match well. No faulty starts and in fact, his hits towards his opponent are very sharp and crispy. No mistakes and his furious hits are precise to the point that we're not sure if Chong Wei can defend on his side or otherwise. Or else, we hope he can win a silver medal at least. A tough game for a couple of hours. Till there and then, GO MALAYSIA!

Oh yea, I've bought a set of Starbuck mooncakes from Starbucks yesterday and have begun trying a few pieces just now. There's one on tiramisu flavour and another one is berry flavour. Green tea flavour as well as hazelnut can only be obtained from Special mooncake set. Anyhow, the taste of tiramisu melted in my mouth. Yummylicious ! I will recommend it to anyone who wants to give it a bite! (or try!)

Niece's Fullmoon Ceremony

On the 3rd Aug, my family and I went to my one of my little niece's fullmoon ceremony at Overseas Restaurant @ Subang Parade. It was quite an auspicious event whereby we had a lunch gathering with many other relatives as well. My little niece is barely a month's old. She looks tiny and adorable. Well, we had sour pork with vinegar, vege, roasted chicken, specially made bean curd and other specialty dishes. We were full then by the time it was 3.00-4.00pm, but we did enjoyed ourselves during the lunch cuisine. After that, we walked around Subang Parade shopping centre for about one hour and I managed to buy a pair of sunglasses from Benito for RM20. In fact, it was sold for RM25 each and if we buy two units, we can get them for RM40. As Kelly Loi, my cuz wanted to buy one, we decided to share together and get them for the price of RM40 nett.
As what I have observed during the leisure walk, there were lots of mooncakes having after sold hundreds by every Chinese restaurant eating outlet. Perhaps, you may find it sceptical but it's true coz mooncake festival is around the corner....soon, at least it begins somewhere middle of this Aug month. I gtg now. Until then, I'll try to move my lazy butts and sit in front of the PC often so that I'll blog much more in the next few months (if I'm not plain lazy okie?).

1st July 2008 - My Birthday

Hi there, I had my birthday celebration in Secret Recipe with my family on that particular blessed day. No cakes for myself but I ordered a dinner set and a glass of orange juice for myself. Dad, mum and sis also ordered their respective dinner sets as well as three glasses of mango juice. Finally, the dinner came to a hefty sum of almost RM100! Five meals or better still, three meals a day are so expensive nowadays. How are we supposed to keep our moneys more worthy esp during times of expenditure. I don't care less I guess...'coz I'm gonna have my sushi first - at least by tomorrow, get my energy going in order to crack this matter in my head before I'm ready to give you an answer to this anybody-who-will-self-query question. Happy Birthday stern lady...and you're still charming at the age of 25...yeah!!!

Jaya Jusco Weekend Trip

Today, I had an outing with mum and sis at Jaya Jusco at around 12.00pm. The reason is because my sis needed 2-3 pairs of clothes for her new job (which is going to be an honourable begin at Iris Corporation on 14th of July (next Mon). Ohh so well, she got to buy a skirt and two (2) white-collared blouses which came together with both sides of long sleeves. She spent almost a total of RM150.00 Practically, I'm happy with regards of this good news of hers - her new job employment of course. After all her turn of shopping, it was my turn. Haha, I managed to buy a new bed blanket for myself. It's made of pure cotton material which costs RM69.90. Let me say that it would cover me comfortably throughout tonite...lol.

Somewhere around 4.30pm, three of us walked towards the nearby Kim Gary Restaurant and put down a few orders of desserts. I had mango iced pudding whereas both my mum and sis had chocolate and strawberry iced desserts. Finally, the total bill came to an ordinary sum of RM13.50. So far so good for a hot afternoon...trying to quench our thirst most importantly. After that, we went to the auto-parking machine, paid RM2.00 and had ourselves leaving for home. With that, it ended our day.

During the evening, I had my hands buying several items for my self-made sushi-making home activity. Basically, I went and get a packet of crab meat, a pack of sushi seaweeds and two Japanese cucumbers. The reason that I already had a packet of glutinous rice in my home kitchen shelf made me using back the former item. Anyway, by 8.00pm, I managed to roll my own home-made sushi...all freshly prepared and packed into tightly, sealed tupperwares. Hmmm....yummy, I'm going to get myself going for more sushi rolls in the next couple of days. If there is anyone who likes to learn these techniques on how to roll over your specially hand-made sushis, enquire me about it yeah? Till then, I need to hit the sack before my eyes get twisted for not having enough sleep by tmrw. Goodnite all....

A movie date - 'Made of Honour'

28th JuneText Color
-----------
Went out with sis and Susan to Leisure Mall today. We went ahead to watch a movie with the title 'Made of Honour' at GSC Cineplex. I would describe it as a comedy drama. We enjoyed the 3.15 show and I even ordered a popcorn before I slutch into my comfortable couch in the cineplex. After the hilarious show, we walked around the shopping centre for a while. Before we left, I bought a few food suffz back home such as glutinous tang yuen balls, a packet of soyabean with corn drink, a box of Magnolia/ Wall's chocolate and vanilla flavoured ice-cream. As a summary of the entire activity that I did today, I was feeling satisfied and glad overall.

Susan is quite a nice person I guess, knowledgable and she can talk very well too. Fundamentally, she could converse non-stop and bring out a looong, series of topic throughout the day. In case anyone needs to know who she is, this young chirpy lady is my friend's ex-BBGS friend. Besides, she had just completed her CAT-ACCA course in TARC College. Currently, she's looking for a job related to her own specialised field (taxing - her first choice career or auditing - her second choice perhaps). I'm quite glad to be introduced to her - as a whole-rounded person - someone who is determined in achieving her own targets, aims, goals and objectives. It's very likely that we rarely get the opportunity to know such individuals.

What kind of girl you are!

Take the quiz and learn what kind of girl you are!

Angel You are pure and beautiful. Looking into your eyes is a religious experience. When you spread your wings men fall to their knees, and kiss the ground. Hallelujah!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------My testimonial: Ahem! I can't believe that my quiz results came out as what is written above. Unless you ask me to show how to be pure as in really be pure and how beautiful is beautiful??? Looking into my eyes is a religious experience. And how many guys would fall for me when they look into my beautiful eyes (at least I think so...I'm always satisfied with my well-being and physical appearance). When I spread my wings, men fall to their knees -- I think I accept this statement....should be sweet and wonderful to my liking. Kiss the ground -- Gone too much and excessively ridiculous, not to my liking. However and all, I adore being an angel.

Moved!

Dear all readers,

Just a note that I've moved from my old blog to this new blog @ http://welcometomyjournal.blogspot.com/. Get a breeze over the brand new layout I have over here. It's not that I would like to abandon my previous 'wonders' but I find Xanga is giving me lots of limitation in terms of adding more page elements (nonetheless, how much Blogspot has to offer me could be various!). I'd hope that I will get enough support from my readers, either current or 'only-a-day just hopper-by' in order to continue blogging over Blogspot.

However, I wouldn't leave Xanga at it's nothing-ness. At least, it has served me since Nov 2004, for almost 3 and a half years and I'm glad it did that. A paying tribute to it is by leaving its archives in its database and only the original master can edit and change the contents....I shall leave it in such a way.

Well, it's 10.44pm and I guess I'm gonna hop to bed soon. A happy brink news is that I would begin a new job tomorrow at TT dot com Sdn. Bhd. (also known as Time dotcom Bhd). I'm supposed to report to work at 8.30am tmr...therefore, I need to sleep now. Until then, please stay tune to my blogs for more updates soon! ; )
